

Berardino "Benny" Marsillo, 96, of Redington Beach, FL, passed away on Sunday, May 26th, 2024. He was born in Cantalupo nel Sannio, Isernia, Italy. He immigrated to the United States in his early twenties, settling first in New Jersey, then New York working in high-rise building construction. Fifteen years later, he and the family moved to Ohio where he worked in the rubber factories. Benny believed that hard work was morally beneficial and a driver of strength. Even though he was not formally educated, he built and owned his own homes, never had a mortgage or unpaid debts, sent his daughter and son to private schools and always took excellent care of his family’s needs. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters and their spouses; 2 brothers and spouse; brother in laws; and sister in laws. Benny is survived by his daughter, Anna Orr, son in law, David Orr; son, John Marsillo and daughter in law, Pam Marsillo; grandchildren, Brittany Bromley and spouse, Jeff Bromley, John Orr and spouse, Heather Orr; great-grandchildren, Sabelle Orr, Khai Orr, and Blake Bromley; step granddaughter, Rosita Kovalchik and spouse, Nick Kovalchik; step grandchildren, Gabriel, Sofia, Russell, Evie; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and sister in laws. The family will host a visitation on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 10:30 am, Serenity Funeral Home in Largo, FL. The funeral service will follow at 11 am. Benny will be laid to rest at Fero Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills, FL.
