BERNIECE I. GERBER, 93, of Seminole, Fla., passed away Monday, April 11, 2015, at Palm Gardens of Largo, Fla. Born Jan. 14, 1922, in Garrett, Ind., she was a daughter of Carl and Georgia (Wise) Bock. She graduated from New Haven High School. She married Paul (Mike) Gerber on April 25, 1940. They moved to Fort Wayne and had two daughters. Her family moved from Fort Wayne to Indian Rocks Beach, Fla. in 1951, and built and operated Gerber’s Grocery Store for 10 years. She worked at Radio Stations for 10 years and retired from Indian Rocks State Bank. She was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church. She enjoyed decorating, sewing, baking and working puzzles. She is survived by two daughters, Malonna (Tom) Stewart of Berne, Ind. and Janna Gerber in Largo, Fla.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Flo Rose Trzynka (Eugene) of Ossian, lnd.; sister-in-law, Lovania Bock; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul on Oct. 30, 1965; sister, Eileen Paonessa (Joe); and brother, Wayne Bock. Memorial service is 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Serenity Funeral Home, Indian Rocks Road, Largo, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice, The Heart Institute or Indian Rocks Beach Historical Society.
