Her life was full. There was rarely an activity she would sit out with friends where she lived, or a sport she wouldn’t watch on TV. She held season hockey tickets for The Tampa Bay Lightning, was a loyal Rays fan, and on almost any weekend we would be at the theater with her, or a concert, or a movie. She traveled, cruised and wouldn’t miss a trip to Disney World. When we would bring her home late on a Sunday night all her friends would excitedly ask about her latest adventure, the next morning.
This last year was a tough one for her, and she spent a lot of time in and out of hospital and rehab. We noticed that each time she returned to Rehab everyone was delighted to see her back! They loved her. She was their star patient, the one who worked the hardest to get home, the one who complained the least and smiled the most.
She is at peace now, and with her husband Charles.
Our hearts are broken. We miss you and love you Mom.
