

Betty Ann Marjorie Pink, age 98, a beloved resident of Seminole, Florida, passed away on December 2, 2023. Born on November 27, 1925, in Superior, Wisconsin, Betty was the cherished daughter of Anna and Robert LaVine.
Her journey was one of faith, kindness, and generosity. Betty graduated from Central High School and then earned her nursing degree from Abbott Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN. On January 10th, 1948, she married Benjamin Walter Pink, and they celebrated over 60 years of marriage.
Betty took time off to raise her young children and worked before and after those years at St. Mary’s Hospital, Giesen Clinic, and Chaffey's Nursing Home, all in Superior, WI.
A devout member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Indian Rocks Beach, FL, and St. Alban’s Episcopal in Superior, WI. Betty's faith was an integral part of her life, guiding her kindness and generosity.
Betty's legacy is carried on by her children, Barry K.(Lynda) Pink and Beth M.(Mark) Olson; grandchildren, Chad Pink (Jeanne Friedlander), Scott (Erin) Pink, Tom (Jessie) Pink, Knute Olson (Megan McKinnie), Karl (Dana) Olson; great-grandchildren, Madi, James, Wyatt, Harper, Delaney, Odin, Augustus, and another on the way; nieces and nephews, Jim, Steve, and Holly; great-nieces and nephews Paetra, Meredith, Stephanie, Heidi, Steven, and Anna; as well as special friends Helena, Darlene, Jeanne A., and Betty S.
In her final days, Betty found solace with hospice home care, family and friends. Betty’s death leaves a deep loss especially for her family and close friends.
A Visitation will be held on June 26th, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 1510 New York Avenue Superior, WI 54880 with a Service to follow at 11:00am. Please wear something Pink and plan to stay for lunch.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the charities Betty regularly supported—the Parkinson Research Foundation (PO Box 96318, Washington, DC, 20090-6318) and the PVA Paralyzed Veterans of America (PO Box 758593, Topeka, KS 66675)—would be a meaningful way to honor her memory and continue her legacy of support and compassion.
Betty was a beacon of kindness, a remarkable soul who touched countless lives. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. In her honor, let us celebrate her life and spirit that will live in our hearts and in our stories.
