

88, of Largo, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021, of natural causes. She was born in Olean, New York, to Arlos and Helen Sage. She was a proud alumni of Olean High School and a member of Adelphia Sorority. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard Nickel, and they were married for 65 years. Beverly had a few careers, but her calling was to take care of people and she did so for many years, as a private duty nurse. In 1979, she relocated to Largo, Florida, but always referred to Olean as her home. Beverly loved her family and friends more than anything. She truly loved life and never turned down an invitation to do something fun. Everyone who knew her probably has a humorous story of Bev in their memory. She enjoyed chatting with her friends and never knew a stranger. All were welcome in her home. She had a soft heart for animals and had her companion Sarah, her much loved cat, till the very end.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Nickel, and a grandson, Michael Clements.
She is survived by her four daughters, Nancy Clements (Palm Harbor), Deborah Peterson (Syracuse, NY), Elaine Nickel (San Diego, CA) and Barbara (Cory) Reed (Safety Harbor). She also has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She has two sister-in-laws that she loved like sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic, there will be a private graveside service at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park in Largo, Florida. The family plans to hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
