Carolyn E Milot (Smith), a 50+ year resident of Seminole Florida, passed away quietly at the age of 82. Carolyn was born to Robert and Lena Lyons of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, where she spent her early years and started her family. She followed her parents to Florida in 1971. Her love of children led to a career in education as an Educational Support Professional, where she earned the distinctive title of State of Florida Educational Support Professional of the year. She also served as president of the Pinellas County Educational Support Professional Association (PESPA). During her time working for the March of Dimes, Carolyn met and befriended many celebrities during fundraising activities. Some of those friendships continued throughout her life. Carolyn did a lot of volunteer work. Some of this work included the clubs she was a member of, including the VFW, Lions club, American Legion, and the Seminole Elks Lodge. She was a past lady president of the Seminole Elks Lodge. Carolyn was undeniably the matriarch of her family with an open door policy and unlimited advice for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and thousands of cousins and extended family.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Robert Lyons, her brothers, Bobby and Kenny Lyons, and her husband of eight years, Gerard Milot. She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Quinn, Kathy, Ford, her brother, Tom Lyons, her children, Robin Hann, Roger Smith, Paul Smith, Janine Smith, grandchildren, Anthony Smith, Brittany Lucchetti, Zachary Hann, Daniel Smith, Shane and Samantha, Samis, and her great grandson, Oliver.
