Catherine Doris Brosey

Born on December 18, 1928, in Long Branch, New Jersey, Catherine was the daughter of James and Margaret Gunn. She graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School and later married the love of her life, Douglas F. Brosey, in 1951. Together, they shared many happy years raising their family and building a life grounded in faith and love.

Catherine dedicated over 30 years of service to Morton Plant Hospital, where she was known for her hard work and compassion. A devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, she found great joy in her faith community. She also enjoyed the beach, attending church, and cheering for her favorite sports teams.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas, and her daughter, Kathleen Brosey Hill.

Catherine is lovingly survived by her five sons: Mike, Tim, Chris, Robert (Renee), and Peter; her two grandchildren, Jessica Rivas and Holly Welch; and her sister, Patricia (David), and their family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or Dogs Inc.

Catherine will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and devotion to her family, faith, and community.
