

Born on May 19, 1935, in Akron, Ohio, to Howard and Josephine Cramer, Catherine lived a life devoted to family, service, and community. She graduated from Haverford Township Senior High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania and earned her Associate’s Degree from Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri. After graduating she married and moved to Leavenworth, Kansas and raised her family.
Catherine had a long and meaningful career with the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she dedicated 20 years. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a founding parent of the Handicapped Association in Leavenworth, Kansas.
A talented seamstress, Catherine found joy in creating beautiful things for those she loved. Her greatest passion, however, was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, and grandchildren.
Catherine is survived by her children, Lisa Blanck (Bill), Chriss Harper, and Keith Harper; grandchildren, Billy Blanck, Levi Blanck (Haley), Shanna Harper, Kristian Harper (KoKo), and Rachele McCounnaughey; great-grandchildren, Emma, Gracy, Abby, Trenton, Quintus, and Laurel; great-great grandchild, Colton; and her niece, Vivian Smith (Jonathan).
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Howard Harper; her sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and James Smith; and her brother, Stanton Cramer.
Catherine’s legacy of love, strength, and generosity will live on in all who knew her.
