Dorothy Jean Forster

Born October 9, 1929 in Allegheny County Pittsburgh, PA., she was a daughter of William Henry and Dorothy Bell Blume Pearson Jr.

Dorothy was a 1948 graduate of Westinghouse High School, Pittsburgh.

She was Presbyterian and very proud to have received numerous awards and pins for perfect attendance and never missing a day of Sunday School.

Dorothy and her family relocated to Florida in 1954 from Pittsburgh, PA.

For several years Dorothy worked as a Statistical Secretary and Administrative Assistant. Later, she worked as a Homemaker.

Dorothy enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took great satisfaction in taking care of all her family and always being there when needed.

Dorothy married John S. Forster, Jr. July 26, 1949 at the Homewood Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh.

Survivors include three sons, Gregory D. Forster; Douglas R. Forster; Spencer S. Forster and his wife Marian; four grandchildren, Jacqueline S. Forster (Jackie);John S. Forster IV (Little Johnny): Allison J. Forster; Emily G. Forster; three great- grandchildren, Brittany; Breonna and Brandon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John S. Forster Jr.; a son, John S. Forster III; two sisters, Eleanor R. Barbour and Betty Ostroff.

Graveside Service: 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017.
