Edna Mae Hodgson Reiter

Edna Mae Reiter 99 of Brooksville and Largo, Florida and formerly of Shell Rock, Iowa passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010 in the Spring Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center. Edna was born on July 5th, 1911 in Shell Rock, Iowa. She moved to this area in 1990 after retiring as an Elementary School Teacher for the Butler County School System in Iowa for many years. Edna was a Hospice Volunteer, a volunteer in the Handicapables program at the St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a member in Largo and a volunteer in the Reading Program at a retirement community. She is survived by son, James L. Reiter and two daughters, Beverly J. Bohlen and Bonnie K. Graham along with seven grandchildren, Steven Bohlen, Dan Bohlen, Linda Snitker, Michael Reiter, Angie Carter, Ashley Schiavon and Aleah Graham, ten great grandchildren, her precious sister, Leona Johnson of Waverly, Iowa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Edna was predeceased by her husbands, Floyd Reiter in 1993 and Jack Akerley in 2008 as well as a sister, Ethel Lahr.
