84, of St. Petersburg and formerly of Winter Haven, passed away November 19, 2010 at Westminster Suncoast. Ellis was born October 4, 1926 in Santa Fe, FL to Ellis and Elizabeth Holder. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. In 1990, he retired from the Florida Department of Agriculture. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Winter Haven. Ellis is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley L. Holder; son, Clinton D. Holder, MD of St. Petersburg; daughters, Karen Altman of Cooper City, FL and Christine Norton of Augusta, MI; brothers, Marion Holder of Gainesville, FL and Thomas Holder of Lake County, FL; and 4 grandchildren. Memorial Service will be Mon, Dec 6th at 10:30am at Westminster Suncoast, 6909 Dr MLK Jr Street S, St Petersburg.
