Born on April 23, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Evelyn was the daughter of Floyd and Viola Shaw. She earned her high school diploma and proudly received her GED. In 1948, she married the love of her life, Edwin Adams, and together they built a life centered around love and family.
Evie worked diligently as an assembler for over 25 years. Outside of work, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life—reading, tending to her cherished roses, and spending time with her family, whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Adams; her sons-in-law, Gerald Yates and Steve Vaughan; and her grandson, Timothy Vaughan.
Evie is survived by her loving daughters, Victoria Yates and Marjorie Vaughan; her grandchildren, Christopher Vaughan (Kate), Angela Smith (Joe), and Penny Vaughan; and her great-grandchildren, Tyler Vaughan, Bailey Smith, Benton Smith, Trenton Vaughan, and Riley Vaughan.
Evelyn’s quiet strength, warmth, and deep love for her family will be remembered always.
