Frank was born on January 12, 1938, in Murray, Kentucky, to Melvin and Elizabeth McComas. He graduated from Grant County High School in Kentucky and went on to serve his country as a member of the United States Army.
On October 1, 1964, Frank married the love of his life, Frances Billings. He built a long and dedicated career as a pipefitter and welder with Procter & Gamble, where he worked for 32 years before retiring.
Frank had a deep passion for antique automobiles and was an enthusiastic supporter of University of Kentucky basketball. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, devotion to family, and the joy he found in his interests and community.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances McComas; his daughter, Tonya Lyons; and his son-in-law, Gregory Lyons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Elizabeth McComas; his son, Kerry Ray McComas; his sister, Nancy Coiro; and his niece, Patricia Hamlin.
Frank will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
A Graveside Service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774, US, on March 28, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
