Irene Helen Roberts

ROBERTS, Irene H. Passed away on Sept. 2, 2010, at 80 years of age. She moved to Florida in 1967, from California and has been a resident of Largo's Harbor Hills subdivision ever since. She retired from Honeywell after many years as a supervisor for Planning & Production for their aerospace contracts. Irene was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. For many years, she belonged to a women's bowling league at Largo Lanes and she played golf at Largo Golf Course with a women's league. Sports of all kinds were her favorite hobby. She is the daughter of Bob & Helen Roberts. Irene leaves behind her beloved mother, Helen Roberts; sister, Cheryl Roberts-Varney and husband, Gary; brother, Philip Roberts and wife, Linda; and nephew, Christopher Roberts and wife, Magdalene, and daughter, Gabrielle. She was loved by many as she was a nurturing and thoughtful person who cared about everyone. Even in her last moments, her thoughts were on everyone who touched her life. A service will be held at Moss Feaster Serenity Gardens in Largo (727-562-2080) on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 9:30 with a continental buffet to follow in the Gathering Room.
