Joan F Jordan (Fitzmaurice) 84, of Largo, FL passed away July 19, 2016 at Largo Medical Center. She was born on July 5, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA and has been a Florida resident since 1989. Predeceased by her husband, James Jordan; parents, Julia and Thomas Fitzmaurice; sisters, Margaret Purcell, Mary Mihm; brothers Thomas, John and William Fitzmaurice. Survived by sister Ann Doyle and 22 nieces and nephews, and many more great-nieces and nephews. Joan worked for Sun Oil Company for 33 years as an office manager and secretary, before retiring in 1987. She was active in the Martha Mary Group at St Jerome’s Catholic Church. A Catholic mass will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd., Largo Florida on Friday, July 22 at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow in the Kilgore Center located on the parish property. Joan will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Peters Township, PA.
