Joan was born on June 17th, 1933, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Beulah Beach Werner and Harold Werner. Her journey through life was filled with love and a deep devotion to her family and passions.
Joan's early years were spent in Colorado and California with her parents and younger brother, Dave. On September 21, 1952, she married the love of her life, Roy Pace Willis, with whom she shared a bond that lasted a lifetime.
A woman of many joys, Joan found peace and fulfillment in the simple pleasures of life. Her garden flourished under her tender care, her walks along the beach were moments of tranquility, and her love for reading and travel opened her heart to the world. She loved cheering on her Tampa Bay Rays, and talking about current events. Her enthusiasm for life was contagious to those around her.
In her golden years, Joan and Roy ventured to the Hawaiian islands, creating lasting memories that would stay with her forever. But nothing brought her more joy than being a steadfast presence in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren near and far. She reveled in their triumphs, celebrated their milestones, and provided unwavering love and support as they grew.
Joan is survived by her loving sons, Kevin, Keith, Andrew, and Todd; her devoted daughter, Susan; as well as 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Though Joan has left this world, her spirit remains alive in the lives she touched, and her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her kind heart and zest for life will never be forgotten.
