John served his country in the United States Army. John moved to the Pinellas area in 1972 with his family. Here he worked as an electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed being able to fix things and help others. John and his wife, Maxine, worked together in real estate for many years. Later in life they enjoyed walks on Indian Rocks Beach, eating at Ohana Café, First Watch, Denny’s, Savory, etc., topping everything with Tabasco Hot Sauce! They owned and operated West Bay MHP for about three years, before retiring a second time.
John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maxine; their two sons, Paul and David, brothers and sisters, Calvin Crawford, Wendell Crawford, Edna Howard, Betty Haney, and Margaret Binon, as well as numerous cousins.
A Funeral will be held in John’s honor on Friday, April 6th at 12pm at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL, 33774.
