
Born: March 26, 1919
John E. Rosko, of Largo, FL, was called to be with his creator on August 9, 2016 at the young age of 97. John grew up in Plainfield, NJ with his brothers and sister, served in the US Navy in WWII in Argentia , Newfoundland in the newly formed Anti-Submarine Warfare base. He completed his service in Florida as a Yeoman in charge of the new recruits at the Sonar School. After WWII, John went to a long career at Wilcox & Gibbs in a variety of positions including corporate controller. He met his wife Doris at work and enjoyed many years of marriage. John was passionate about his golf, tennis and platform tennis as well as nurturing and growing his garden. . He loved his children, and his grandchildren and was proud of each and every one of them.
He is survived by his daughter Carol Taylor (spouse Andy) of Largo and son Jack Rosko (wife Beth) of Apex, NC, and three amazing and wonderful grandchildren, Kaylin Ackerson of Orlando, FL, Carey Rosko (wife Laura) of Huntersville, NC and Helen Rosko of Worcester, MA.
John loved life and truly brought laughter into this world with his jokes and his engaging smile and warm personality. He could light up a room with his smile and the twinkle in his eyes
