Johnnie Gish

Johnnie Steven Gish II, age 54, passed away on December 27, 2025. He was born in Kentucky and lived a life defined by dedication, skill, and passion for the things he loved most. Johnnie was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Gish.

He is survived by his mother, Elaine Rhodes; stepmother, Sherrie Gish; sister, Kim (Travis) Leap; half-siblings, Tiffany Bolding and Kevin Bolding; and stepsister, Amie Swink. He was a proud uncle to Jacob Leap, Jenna Leap, Ethan Stachinskiy, Aiden Stachinskiy, and Carson Purdy. He also leaves behind extended family and friends who will miss him deeply.

Johnnie devoted over 30 years of his career to Electro-Comp Tape & Reel Services, where he was a master technician and machine specialist. Known for his exceptional knowledge and work ethic, Johnnie could fill anyone’s shoes and successfully run any department within the company. His dedication, versatility, and reliability earned him the respect of colleagues and leadership alike.

Outside of work, Johnnie poured his heart into his hobbies. He loved drag racing, bowling, and coaching softball, generously sharing his time and skills with others. In his earlier years, he was passionate about BMX riding, mastering tricks and freestyle riding, a testament to his adventurous and driven spirit.

Johnnie will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, and the lasting impact he made on his family, friends, coworkers and community. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the lives he touched.
