Born in New York City, Kim spent her younger years as a talented florist, bringing beauty and life to every arrangement she created. Later, she moved to Florida, where she dedicated her care and compassion as a nurse assistant, supporting and uplifting the elderly with kindness and patience.
Kim loved animals, fishing, gambling, music, and good old Mary Jane. She cherished her children above all else. Her laughter, gentle spirit, and adventurous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving mother, Helen Wells McMahon; her longtime partner, Ron Pencola; her children, Sharon McLaughlin, Michelle Mitchell, and Shawn Fitzgerald; and her beloved grandchildren, Nevaeh Finn, Aubrey, and Hunter Soto Fitzgerald; and by all who were fortunate to know her.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held at Serenity Gardens, Indian Rocks Road, on Thursday, December 4th, from 4–6 PM, where friends and family will honor her vibrant spirit, her love of life, and the joy she brought to all.
Her spirit lives on—free, joyful, and ever present in the hearts of those she touched.
