Wife- The marriage of Jack and Lena is a love story in itself. 57 years of love, devotion, trust, happiness, sadness, support and years of tribulation. The love they shared was unbreakable till the very end.
Mother- She was devoted to her children. She was a fun-loving, caring mother. She made them laugh, she constantly worried about them, she babied them, and she always wanted to feed them - typical Italian mother.
Grandmother "Anna" - The love she had for Mikey and Caden was unbelievable- she doted on them. They were her life. She loved to babysit, she loved to read to them and sit on the floor for hours with them. She loved to feed them and worried they weren't eating enough. Again, typical Italian grandmother.
Great Grandmother - She never got to meet Bexley, but we know she would have become the light of her life. We imagine her holding this fat little red-headed baby and she would have had a huge smile on her face. We are absolutely sure she would want to feed Bexley macaroni and meatballs at a very young age. Bexley Lena will inherit her namesake and hopefully carry on her vibrant personality and laughter.
Despite years of obstacles Lena had thrown her way, she managed to always keep her sense of humor. Whoever got the pleasure to hang out with Lena, the one thing they would always say is "wow! What a funny lady!". She made people laugh, she loved to laugh, she had this very weird good-hearted sense of humor. She was fun, loving, caring, unique, quirky, strong, gorgeous (as Jack would say "what a knock-out!"), a memory like an elephant, she was determined, full of courage, and delightfully whimsical.
Lena loved her family, she loved going to the beauty parlor and getting her hair and nails done. She loved clothes, glitzy clothes, and more clothes. Her passions were jewelry, shoes, make-up, nail polish, purses, cigarettes, Sunday "gravy" dinner, good food, pastries, cooking, dogs (the fluffier, the better), singing and dancing.
We want everyone to remember how much fun Lena was, how much personality she had, how much she made people laugh.
We know Lena would say to everybody to enjoy life, live large, cherish your family, make memories, Laugh loud, be crazy, and EAT A LOT!!
Lena once said "when a song ends, the melody will always linger on"
In honor of a special, funny, beautiful, eccentric, strong woman.
Love XOXO
