McCloskey, Linda Charlene (Sheppard) age 66 went to be with the Lord Wednesday July 23, 2014 in Largo Florida. Linda was born September 2, 1947 in Bloomington Illinois and came to Florida in 1956. She held several different types of jobs throughout her life including 10 years of service with the Largo Police Department, although her most significant role was as a wife, mother, and a grandmother. She was very spiritual and had attended Trinity Bible College; she truly believed God was in control and he was purposely executing his plan for her. Her parents Radia Lou Sheppard and Lonzo F Sheppard preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Samuel; a daughter Dawn Townsend (Brian Townsend), Castle Rock CO, a son Douglas McCloskey (Kelly McCloskey), Ramstein, Germany; a brother Roger F Sheppard (Bea Sheppard), Clearwater; five grandchildren, Kiersten, Travis, Sierra, Spencer, and Jaden; a nephew Roger "Skip" Sheppard and her beloved pets, Angel and Thunder. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday July 30, 2014 at 11 am at Heritage Bible Church 521 1st Ave SW in Largo. Public visitation will also be held at the church from 10 am until service time on Wednesday. Private interment services will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater.
