Lucille Peters was born November 20, 1929 to Samuel and Sallie West Peters in the small town of Bayou Chicot, Louisiana in the Parish of Evangeline, near Ville Platte, Louisiana.
Lucille was born one of six children, with three brothers, Nathan, James and Allan Peters and two sisters Lula and Thelma Peters.
During her childhood, Lucille attended school in Ville Platte, and Pine Prairie, Louisiana in the Parish of Evangeline.
At the age of sixteen Lucille decided to move to Florida to live with her sister Thelma. During this time, she met and married Charlie D. Whitehead Sr. and moved to Jacksonville, Florida. During their marriage they were blessed with six children, four beautiful daughters, Gearldine, Barbara Gale, Mary Lou, and Betty Sue, and two handsome sons Charlie D. Jr, and William Franklin Whitehead.
After the death of Lucille’s husband Charlie D. Whitehead Sr., she returned to the St. Petersburg area to raise her children, and subsequently met and married Graham Maynard Hastings (Bud). Lucille and Bud relocated the family to Pinellas Park, Florida. During Lucille’s marriage to Bud she gave birth to her youngest son David Graham Hastings.
Due to personal circumstances, Lucille and Bud divorced and later Lucille married Robert W. Myers.
After 31 years of marriage Robert W. Myers died on February 8, 2005 and Lucille continued to live in her home in Pinellas Park, Florida until her passing on October 1, 2018.
Lucille is now in Heaven with the Lord, whom she loved and served throughout all the days of her life.
