She was a proud graduate of St. Petersburg College and built a successful career as the Director of Accounting for Life Brokerage Financial Group. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Peg was known for her free spirit and playful nature. She loved her friends and family fiercely, had a deep affection for animals, and found happiness in the simple pleasures—putzing in her yard and creating something new in her kitchen.
Peg was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Oglesby. She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Margaret Oglesby; her daughter, Karen Smalley; her son-in-law, Daniel Smalley; and her two granddaughters, Kylie and Kaitlyn Smalley, who brought her endless pride and joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 25, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM, with a time of sharing beginning at 3:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Peg’s memory to Florida Poodle Rescue or the Seabird Sanctuary.
