MOYER, Marie H. 90, of Harbor Bluffs, died on Feb. 22, 2011 at 8:15 am. Born in Savannah, GA, she received her liberal arts degree from Randolph Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, VA, where she was a member of Chi Omega and president of the Glee Club and Choral Society. She was a counselor and swimming instructor at camps in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. She and her husband, Lawson A. Moyer, Jr., an official at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. moved to Harbor Bluffs in 1976 from their residence in Northern Virginia. They were active members of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension where she served on the Altar Guild for many years and was a past director. She was also a member of St. Theresa'a Guild. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lawson Auburn Moyer, Jr.; her son, Dr. Lawson A. Moyer, III, of New York City; and her daughter, Marie Moyer Glucksman, residing in London, England; a brother, Ralph D. Helmken of Lyons, GA; and three granddaughters, Lindsay, Lauren and Emily; and several nieces and nephews of Savannah, GA. Services will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension at a date to be announced with interment in Savannah, GA
