

On the 20th of December, 2014, the Heavens gained a beautiful angel. Marjorie D. Holmes lived a wonderful 91 years before being raised. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, to Anna and Elias Clay, she lived her final years in Seminole, Florida.
Marjorie will be remembered by her family and friends for her twinkling eyes, her infectious laugh, her quick wit and her passion for always giving to and caring for others.
Having spent most of her life in Manchester, Connecticut, she was an active volunteer with the Manchester Visiting Nurse organization, the Lutz Junior Museum and the Skating Club of Hartford.
Marjorie joins in Heaven her loving Walter J. Doherty and Arthur D. Holmes. She is survived by her two Daughters and Son-in-law, Joan D. Raycroft of Weeki Wachee, Florida, and Nancy D. and Gerald Iacoviello of Cromwell, Connecticut. She leaves four Grandsons all residing in Connecticut: Patrick Hart and wife Erin of Wallingford, Michael Hart and wife Devon of West Hartford, Matthew Clifford of Manchester and Conor Clifford of West Hartford. She was blessed with three beautiful Great-Grandchildren: Zachary and Samantha Hart of Wallingford and Mikartny Hart of West Hartford. She will also be missed by all the members of those she lovingly referred to as the “Clay Clan”.
There will be a Celebration of Life Mass at St. John’s Church, 5 St. John Court, Cromwell, CT, 06416, Saturday, January 24, 2015, at 11:00 A.M.
Marjorie will be interred at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Palm City, FL, on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at 10 A.M.
