Michelle Christie

Funeral services will be held 12:00pm Wednesday, February 15th at St Dunstan’s Anglican Church, 2790 Sunny Breeze Ave, Largo, FL 33770. Arrangements are by Serenity Funeral Home.

Michelle was born in Clearwater to Frank Christie and Janet Johnson on April 28 1965. She went to school at Largo High School and later graduated from St Petersburg Jr. College. She then worked as a Registered Nurse for Northside Hospital. Michelle loved being a RN and was dedicated to her patients. Although an injury on the job cut her career short, Michelle never stopped being a nurse. She loved going to yard sales, she was an expert “picker” before being a “picker" was a thing. She was an avid collector of everything. She enjoyed making jewelry and sorting beads. She loved a good movie and don’t bother her during the Walking Dead. Her cats and dog were her constant companions. At family gatherings Michelle always had a story or two that would make your jaw drop but keep you laughing all at the same time. Michelle loved her children and playing with her grandson, Carter.

Michelle is survived by her son, Matthew Gureski and daughter, Darby Christie, daughter-in-law Kelsey Gureski, and grandson Carter Gureski. Father, Frank Christie, Step-mother, Lois Christie. Mother, Janet Johnson. Sisters and brothers, Johnny Pass, Shelley Smith, Julie Singleton, Bill Christie, Linda Christie and Theresa Gardner. Nieces, Lindsey Groves, April Cook and Heather Burton, Great Nephews, Travis and Trey Cook and Elijah Burton.

The family of Michelle wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, and staff of Northside Hospital. The Rescue crews from Lealmen Fire, St Petersburg Fire Rescue and Sun Star Paramedics.
