The rode rose up to meet this six year cancer fighting warrior/ninja while held in the loving arms of his wife, true love and rock, Mary and surrounded by fur kids Duke and Layla at their home in Largo, FL.
Patrick was born Jan 27th, 1966 in Evergreen Park, IL and grew up in the Longwood Farms neighborhood of Chicago Heights, IL. He attended Infant Jesus of Prague and Marian Catholic High School, the later of which is where he met his high school sweetheart, Mary.
Patrick relocated to Kansas City, Mo where he worked in Sales and Management within the Industrial Hose and Fitting industry for Dixon Valve & Coupling, Lewis-Goetz and Tompkins Industries.
After reconnecting with Mary, Patrick moved to Florida and they married in 2012. If any couple was the epitome of true love, it was these two. They enjoyed spending time with family/friends, traveling, card games, attending concerts, car rides to nowhere, sitting at home listening to music, grilling in their backyard and everything in between, just as long as they were together.
Patrick was a member of St. Jerome Parish and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Patrick will fondly recall his easy going, friendly, funny, music loving, Bud drinking, crowd mooning, Duke rooting, donut eating, rosary carrying, Dead Head loving, always smiling, hopeful and positive spirit.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents Jack and Therese (O'Donohue), brothers John and Si, maternal/fraternal grandparents, numerous Aunts and Uncles, Mother and Step Father-in-law Theresa (Zurek) and Alan Greep, brother-in-laws James and Timothy Higgins and dog Maya.
He is survived and will be immensely missed by his loving wife Mary (Higgins); fur kids, Duke and Layla; beloved sisters, Maura (Dave) Johnson, Eileen (Dan) Reynolds and Julie (Jeff) Doane; Uncle, Sinon O’Leary; sister in laws, Teresa (Dale) Heusing, Joyce(Dan) Greep, Andrea Higgins, Kathy (Larry) Spiek, Helene Higgins, Darlene (LaRue) Flook; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Mass followed by a Celebration of a Life well lived will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at St. Veronica Church (formerly Infant Jesus of Prague) located at 1101 Douglas Ave, Flossmoor, IL.
