Rick was born on December 25, 1953 in Stuttgart, Germany, son of the late Ruth Dietrich Johnson.
Rick graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Urban Planning and Landscape Design. He was a proud business owner of Total Lawn Care & Landscaping Inc. for over 25 years.
He married Diana L. (Puttick) Johnson on April 25th, 1980.
Rick was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. He had a passion for gardening, German model LGB trains, and the Colorado mountains. Rick had so much love for his wife, children and grand children. He was often called the “light of his family.”
He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Dietrich Johnson.
He was survived by his loving wife Diana (Puttick) Johnson, daughter Nicole (Johnson) Griffiths, son Daniel Johnson, son Jeffrey Johnson, daughter Liane Johnson, and his four grand children - Clayton Griffiths, Camden Griffiths, Amelia Johnson, and Jayce Johnson.
