Salvatore "Sammy" Taormina passed away on April 2nd in Largo FL. He was born in Terrasini, Sicily on November 2nd 1937. He immigrated to Gloucester, Ma. at the age of 19 along with other members of his family. He was a hair stylist who at an early age started his own business, Sammy's Beauty Salon, servicing the people of Gloucester until his retirement. During retirement he spent most of his time at his home in Florida where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed gardening and spending time at the many beaches parks in the area. Preceded in death by his parents, Francesco and Stefana. He is survived by wife Maria Delisi Taormina, Daughter Stephanie Cote, Sons Frank wife Carla, Joseph and wife Michelle, Salvatore and wife Trisha. 7 Grandchildren, Jessica Taormina, Kayla Taormina, Derek Cote, Andrew Taormina, Nicholas Taormina, Hailey Taormina and Camryn Taormina and 2 Great Grandchildren Madison and Gavin Griffin. Sister Ninfa Ciaramitaro and Brothers, Leonardo, Nicola, Joe and Pietro. Sammy is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Serenity Funeral Home,13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL. on Monday, April 13th at 11am.
