Sharon L. Nunns

Sharon L Nunns, 66 of Pinellas Park Florida passed away on April 11, 2015 at St Petersburg Bayfront Hospice. Sharon was retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 30 years of active and reservist duty which included the Desert Storm Conflict. She was the recipient of numerous medals and awards for outstanding service. She was affectionately called "Jane Wayne" by her husband for her eagerness to deploy into action. She was admired by her family and friends for her intense dedication to her unit and country. She met every challenge as a privilege and never gave anything less. She will be greatly missed by those who served under her along with her beloved family and dear friends. Survivors include her eight children; Debbie Lauterer (Bob), Nancy Williams (Kent), JoAnn Koniar (Tom) Penny Rahn (Mike), Richard Nunns (Sandy), Kevin Nunns (Kim), Michael Nunns (Patty), and Charles Nunns (Tiffany), a sister Sandra Humpert, 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by husband Jack Nunns and parents Theodore and Lois Mazur. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday May 1, 2015 at 10:45 am at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St Petersburg, FL. Mrs Nunns will be honored for her dedicated service to our country with full military honors.
