

She was a beloved wife of Joseph W LaClair, with whom she shared 62 loving years of marriage. Their enduring partnership was a testament to devotion, strength and unconditional love. She was a mother to three wonderful children, Rebecca A Maciejewski, Joseph W LaClair II and Candy L Jock. She was also blessed with multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.
Shirley had a passion for ceramics, bowling, dancing, baseball and football. She enjoyed watching sports and dancing the Cupid Shuffle. Her favorite job was driving school bus and taking care of the children she was near. She was known for her vibrant spirit and kind heart. Shirley will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and quiet strength. She touched many lives with her generosity of spirit, her gentle wisdom and her unwavering support for her family and friends.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience and grace. Shirley’s presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Shirley will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will occur from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A graveside service will occur from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, with a reception to follow, at Serenity Funeral Home and Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774.
