Thomas “Tommy” J. Kelly 67, of Largo, went with the angels to heaven to be with our Lord on December 30, 2020. He passed away at Bay Pines VA Hospice in St.Pete after battling with cancer. He was born and raised on the “Southside” of Chicago and graduated from Saint Francis de Sales. Tommy then served in the Marines & Army in the 1970s. He liked watching baseball, football and movies. He loved Rhett (dog), birdwatching, and scratch off lottery tickets.
He was preceded in death by his father James T. Kelly. Tommy is survived by his mother Jen Kelly and sister Trish Gazdacka (George), brother James L. Kelly (Karen), nieces; Shannon Gazdacka, Pamela Calvanese, Patricia Grinion, and Paula Kelly Hescock. Also, long time family friend Dotti Kelly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Kidney Cancer Association or to Bay Pines VA Hospice.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no visitation. Instead a graveside service will be held 2pm Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774. Masks will be required.
