Dad.
As I sit at my computer trying to put my thoughts into words, my heart is heavy, my eyes are misty and my love is strong. You came into our lives 42 years ago and have left your mark ever since. Not only did you fall in love with mom but you took on a ready made family as well... not many men in this world would step up like that and not only take on the love of a woman but the responsibility of a 7 year old as well.  But you never treated me like anything but your daughter. I didnt have your name or your blood but I always had your love, your heart,your guidance, and your support.  I was always your daughter no matter what and you were always my dad.
I miss you everyday but know you are now free of pain and up and about on your own two legs raising a rucus in heaven with all of your family and friends.
Always remember we love you and guide us on our way in the years to come. Take care of us and we will all be together again one day!!!!

Uncle Walt, Thank you God for your life and all the memories that I can hold dear as we adjust to not having you with us on a day to day basis.  From the parties at your house to the family gatherings at Nana's, I will add in the memories of baseball statistics and those wicked hot peppers you would eat out of the jar.  Thank you for your service in the military, but more so, your love and commitment to your family.  Don't know if I told you enough, but I loved you greatly and you were always my favorite uncle.  You fought courageously and showed all of us what it means to never give up.  Thank you for your life, your love and being who you were.  You will forever be in my heart...

Dear Uncle Walt,

Thank goodness that memories can't be taken away. The three of us shared so many special memories, and oh, did we have some fun times! We loved you so much, and we know that you loved us just as much. One niece of blood and the other an honorary niece, you loved us both. You are an amazing man. Every time we go Palm Pavillion or a baseball game, you will be there with us in spirit! You will be our guardian angel. You were not only  our uncle, you were our friend. 

Please don't worry about Auntie June. We will take care of her and always be there for her. We have had several cries with her. You are so missed and so very loved.

Daddy, you were never a man that just threw around the words I love you every day. Yet, I always knew by the look in your eyes we were all truly loved. My heart breaks, yet through the tears I smile knowing that on your last day here you told Mother that you loved her... I cherish the memories we made together and hold onto them tightly. We'll never forget you pap, I'll always remember the times when grandma would buy the long pepperoni sticks and share with all of us grandchildren. It was never the same eating it unless we were with you. There are so many memories to remember you by and you'll never be forgotten; that's a promise. We miss you dearly and I hope you have good company up with the big man. Love you pappy and rest peaccefully.

Many people have come into our lives during the past 5 years since Walt (Dad)
had been sick that we would have never made it thru without. The list is long and the thoughts, prayers, and love is plentiful...but there are an extra special few that we want everyone to know about.  They are truly angels sent from above to help ease our pain and fill our hearts with love and support.
Words will never be able to express our gratitude, and we can never repay you for all that you have done - but please know that you have an extra special place in our hearts, our souls, and our minds and your kindness will never be forgotten!!!

Since 2006 when you were diagnosed with colon cancer, your daily quote was always "honey it's a long war!!" and on the last day you were with us, your final words were the same with an "I love you" added on at the end....
Well sweetheart the war is now over and you were victorious!!!!! You are at peace now with the Lord and have joined your loved ones who have been waiting for you on the other side.  
You were the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend ever and we will miss you and love you forever!!
"Grief is the price we pay for love" and we are all grieving for you now but you have left us with fond memories and love in our hearts to keep us strong until we see you again!!!!
