89, of Largo, FL passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, FL. He was born on May 15, 1922 in Wayne County, Illinois. William moved to Florida in 1957 coming from Kokomo, Indiana. He was self-employed owning a Lawn Service Company. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the Royal Order of the Moose Lodge # 1030 of Clearwater, FL. William is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Imogene Monroe of Largo, FL, a son Gary W. (Bonnie) Monroe of Largo, FL with two grandchildren and three great grandchildren along with two brothers, Harold E. Monroe and Russell V. (Linda) Monroe both of Fairfield, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beaver and Cleo Monroe along with a son, Gordon. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 11 am at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, Largo, FL.
