Alberto Escalona-Mulligan

Alberto was born on June 29, 1984 in Havana, Cuba to Alberto Escalona and Lidia Trespalacios-Hernandez. In 2010, Alberto was introduced to Brian Mulligan by a mutual friend and the two instantaneously began a life together. On July 7, 2012 Alberto married the love of his life, Brian, in Boston, Massachusetts.

In 2002, Alberto graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Eduardo Garcia Delgado University in Havana, Cuba. He worked in the service industry in Naples, Italy and Las Vegas, where his charisma, charm and knowledge of fine wine complimented his knowledge of fine cuisine from around the globe. He made thousands feel at home at the dinner table when he served them and made every person feel special.

Looking for a change of career and a way to provide for his family, Alberto attended Medical Sales College in Colorado and graduated Valedictorian of his class. He loved his newfound career in the medical industry and found his niche with Marshall & Young, where he was quickly showing his potential and a successful future.

Alberto was dedicated to his personal health and wellness, fitness, nutrition and even helped others to live healthier lifestyles.

Alberto is survived by his husband, Brian; parents, Alberto and Lidia; and his sister, Lilieth in Spain.

A gofundme fund was started in the name “Alberto Escalona-Mulligan” and will go towards medical bills and support to his family in Cuba.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on May 31, 2013 at Palm Eastern Mortuary in Las Vegas.
