Alvin Langer, MD 80, of Henderson, NV, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 after a short but courageous and graceful battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on October 20, 1934 in Chicago, IL. to Joseph and Sally Langer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sheila, daughters Betty Langer and Diane Langer and granddaughter Michaela. Alvin Langer was a staunch supporter for reproductive rights for women and a teacher and mentor to many and an inspiration to all. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Planned Parenthood of Southern Nevada, Nathan Adelson Hospice or the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. Funeral service will be at 10AM on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
