Born on April 13, 1965, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Angie was the beloved daughter of Mary and Martin Griek, and cherished sister of Phillip Hollon. She was the loving mother of Keith, Kaylei and Holli, and the proud and adoring Nana to her grandchildren, Kyden, Charlotte, Kya, and Rhett. Angie was also a loyal, unforgettable, and devoted partner to Russell Garrett.
Angie’s life was filled with laughter, love, and adventure. She had a contagious laugh, a radiant smile that could brighten any room, and a gift for making people feel seen and cared for. She was passionate about sports—cheering on the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Denver Broncos—and never missed a chance to dominate her fantasy football leagues.
She loved to travel, especially on cruises with her family, where countless unforgettable memories were made exploring the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico, and many other places. The world was lucky to see her light.
At home, Angie was the heart of every gathering. Holidays were magical under her care, filled with joy, tradition, and the delight of her grandchildren. She had a special way of turning even the smallest occasion into something extraordinary. She beamed with happiness and knew just how to make any place feel like home.
Above all, Angie’s greatest gift was the love she gave so freely to everyone around her. While words can only begin to capture the incredible person Angie was, her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the love she poured into her family and friends.
“Our grief is a reminder
Of how lucky we are
To have loved someone
So much that we will endure
Missing them for the rest of our lives.”
