Angie DiFrancesco, 78, a 20-year resident of Henderson, Nevada passed away on December 17, 2017 at home from end stage Alzheimer’s disease. She was surrounded by her loved ones, her daughters Diana and Mary DiFrancesco, and her son-in-law Brian Beyer.
Angie was born on February 20, 1939 in Taormina, Sicily to Ottavio and Raffela Auteri. She was the older sister to her brother Tony Auteri and her sister Franca Auteri. Angie had to grow up quickly taking care of her younger siblings while her father was away at war for 10 years, and while her mother found work to provide for them.
Angie studied to become a nurse at the University of Palermo. It was there, at the age of 20, when she met the love of her life, John DiFrancesco of Cleveland, Ohio. They married in Italy on August 20, 1960. Shortly after their wedding, John came back to the United States and Angie followed a few months later to start off their marriage together in Chicago, Illinois, and then she studied to become a citizen of the United States. Angie had learned how to speak English, how to drive a car and how to adjust to a country that was foreign to her and that’s exactly what she did, she adjusted quickly. Before she knew it, she became a wife, a citizen, a mother of two daughters, a licensed driver to a 1965 convertible mustang, a happy hostess for 25 years to a family owned restaurant and beloved by so many people.
Angie loved to make people laugh. It came so natural for her. She has touched so many hearts with her adorable Italian accent, with her smiles and her vivacious laughter. She captured so many hearts with her strong, silly, feisty personality. She was always the life of a party. Angie had an amazing loving heart. All of whomever met her, immediately found her to be intoxicating and couldn’t help but fall in love with her. She enjoyed being the center of attention. She always had so much love and laughter to offer.
Angie has left behind beautiful, cherished, funny and loving memories. She will always be in our hearts and continues to make us smile. Thank you beautiful Angel-lina for all the love that you poured out into this world.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Associations or to any Animal Foundation…Angie had a love for animals.
A celebration/birthday service will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm, February 20, 2018 at Palm Eastern Mortuary.
