

Anita was born on September 1st, 1939 to David Yaneza Cootauco and Mercedes Cortez Cootauco in Daet, Camarines Norte, Philippines. After graduating from Chung Hua high school, she went on to study AB Economics at the Philippine School of Business Administration, and Bachelor of Laws at the Manuel L. Quezon University.
Early on, she started D&W Customs Forwarding Co., a small company that provided services for moving goods for import and export businesses. She also worked as an Inspector at the Bureau of Wage and Hour, Department of Labor, Manila Philippines, and in the United States, as Regional Leader for Primerica Insurance and Investments.
Anita met her husband Octavio in 1955 at Manila, Philippines. They married on May 4th 1959 and went on to have five children. Anita and Octavio were married for over 59 years.
In addition to being a dedicated wife and loving mother, anyone who knew Anita knew that she was a beacon of hope for many throughout her entire life. She excelled at helping family and friends alike in supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. She made it a mission to improve the lives of others.
Anita joins her husband Octavio, daughters Gina and Mary, parents David and Mercedes, and brothers David Jr. and Ramon in Heaven.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Dennis and Lillibeth, Winston and Terry, John and Zeny, Robert and Mati, and daughter Lillibeth; grandchildren Jill, Kurt, Anneka, Kimberly, Kathleen, Kevin, Kristel, Samantha, and Stephanie; great grandchildren Bernice, Zuri, Rania, Rayze, and Caleb; brothers Rodolfo, Chito, Alex, and Cesar; and sisters Emily, Genee, Merda, and Jocelyn.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Palm West Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, Nevada.
