Barbara Jane Bonak

Barbara Bonak was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1936. She moved to New Jersey, with her parents, Francis and Eleanor Dunn and three older sisters, in 1940. She married her high school sweetheart, Bruce Bonak in 1957. After raising her three children and retiring from her successful career she moved to Henderson, Nevada.

Her life in Henderson revolved around her charity work. Besides be very active in Sun City Anthem Government and club activities, Barbara was a founding member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church where she volunteered in many capacities as well as serving in the Lector ministry. She was a charter member of St. Clare of Assisi Women's Guild and also spent many volunteer hours with the St. Rose Women's Care Center. Barbara also gave her time and talent to Our Lady of Las Vegas Roman Catholic Church weekly, as an office volunteer,

Barbara enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends. She was able to touch people's lives in so many positive ways through her care and love for everyone she encountered. She is survived by her children Stephen Bonak, Jacqueline McCormick (Donald), Susan Morris (Jeffrey) and her grandchildren, Donald and Jamie McCormick.

A catholic mass for Barbara will be held Monday, August 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson, Nevada 89052.
