Barry L. Freedman, 79, retired electrical engineer for various sound engineering companies, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Barry was born in Chicago, IL on April 24, 1938 to Lawrence and Beatrice Freedman (nee Abromovicz) and was a Southern Nevada resident for 21 years. He was past post commander of the Jewish War Veterans Post 65 Henderson. Barry is preceded in death by his parents and survived by Rosa, his beloved wife of 30 years; daughter, Lynne Backman; son, Larry Freedman; step-daughter, Gina Bergmann; step-son, Louis Bergmann; brother, Rick Freedman; and five grandchildren, Mike, Jason, Corey, Mark, and Christopher. Funeral and burial services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 1:20PM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial, Boulder City, NV. Family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Jewish War Veterans Post 65, 2516 Corvus Street, Henderson, NV 89044. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
