With great sadness, we share the passing of Bart (82) on January 18, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Born October 29, 1943, in Chicago, Bart lived a remarkable life surrounded by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Masi and Carmela Blando. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Susan; daughter Marni; son Bart; granddaughter Amber; sister Barbara; and brother-in-law Tony.
After attending St. Ignatius High School and Loyola University Chicago, Bart moved to California before eventually settling in Las Vegas in 1974. Over an illustrious career, he became a pillar of the liquor industry, working with Miller-Chicago, Schenley Import Co., Best Brands Inc., Southern Wine & Spirits, and Deluca Liquor/BreakThru Beverage. His expertise also extended to the gaming industry, where he served as General Manager of Arizona Charlie’s Hotel & Casino and established casinos in Mexico.
Bart supported many charitable organizations in Las Vegas, particularly the College of Southern Nevada and the CASA Foundation. He was awarded an honorary degree in 2011 and the CASA Foundation President’s Award. In 2019, his charitable contributions were recognized by the Clark County Commissioners with the proclamation of "Bart Masi / BreakThru Beverage Day".
Barts greatest devotion and love was to his family and friends. His love and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please raise a glass and toast Bart—a man who loved you and was always grateful to have you in his life.
