

Benson Tu was born on June 24, 1947 in Saigon, Vietnam. He passed away on March 15, 2024 after a seven-year battle with liver cirrhosis and cancer. Benson was only 76 years of age.
He immigrated to Las Vegas from Vietnam in 1979 with his wife, Nancy Tu, and his children. He held a career as a Shampoo Porter Supervisor at Circus Circus for over 30 years until he retired.
He enjoyed fishing, watching football and basketball games, and traveling. Favorite travels included: China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Canada, Australia and Vietnam. His ideal travel destination was Vietnam.
Benson had a passion to help others in need. No matter what the needs are, Benson was always there to lend a helping hand. Benson will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and empathy for others.
He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Tu; parents, Tan Tu and Hguyet Ha; brothers, Tu Trong, Duc Ky Tu, Duc Fu Tu; and sisters, Kim Flores and Irene Lam.
Benson is survived by his sisters, Becky Izawa and Lang Tu; three children, Kit Tu, Phuong (Huey) Lam, Uyen Tran; three grandchildren, Tayler Lam, Ethan Lam, and Jordan Tu, and many loyal friends and extended family members.
In his final years, he deeply contemplated his faith, and he came full circle in his beliefs and committed himself to Christ.
A memorial service for Benson will begin at 11am on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, where family will receive friends beginning at 10am.
