I saw the funniest video online the other day. As soon as I started watching it, I thought about you and how you would laugh so hard if you could see it too. For a split second, I heard your laugh again. If I try hard, sometimes, I can hear it in my mind for the quickest moment. Just long enough to make me smile. There are always little moments, like these, weaved throughout the passing hours in each my days. I couldn't be more grateful to have them. I miss you even in the silliest of ways. I will love you until forever.

The holidays have come again..I dread this time of year so much more since you've been gone. I have a hard time finding anything "happy" about it. I couldn't make Thanksgiving dinner until the weekend after because of Dad's work schedule..but you'll be pleased to know that Savka joined us for the meal.Still there was an empty seat at the table. Next came my birthday,waking up just praying you would show up to give me one of your special cards where you wrote from your heart..I've saved every one of them just hoping for another since you've been gone. No one could write the kindest,sweetest things like you. You made me feel so loved.
 Now Christmas is coming and it will never be the same without you. There's no amount of decorations or holiday music,classic movies,gift giving..nothing will make it the same with you not here to enjoy it.You have no idea how many things I've wanted to buy you already! I miss you so so so much. I have been lucky to have spent some time with your parents, Jay, and friends. It has been good for me throughout my own grieving process to be near them. It helps me to feel you, to feel your presence. I'm always thinking of you no matter where I am or what I'm doing. You are the only best friend I will ever have, and that's okay with me. You gave me enough love in our years together to last an infinite number of lifetimes. I believe that souls connect in life for a reason, and many do not have what we had. I would visit you often, I would still hear your special ring tone every day when you call..Come back to me so we can do all that. Please turn back time so we can have all this fun together. 
   I was on the verge of putting my truck in your name..I think you loved that truck more than I do! It would be yours.You drove it better than anybody.

My Brandon, It has been 19 months since I lost you. We went through all the holidays without celebrating anything. i couldn't cook your favorite things for Thanksgiving just to see an empty chair at the table. We didn't decorate for Christmas because to not be able to buy gifts for you just didn't feel right.Then came your birthday and by that day I was ready to be put into a straightjacket.. Your birthday seems to hit me the hardest. I brought you into this world that day...the happiest day of my life. Now all I think of is the worst day of my life when you left me.
 I used to wake up wondering how soon I would see you. I used to go to bed at night making sure my cell phone was next to me in case you needed me at any hour.I am so lost without you..

   Truth is...I was never "gifted" with intelligence until I met and married your Father. Best thing I ever did in my life. He gave me the greatest gift and that was you. I never imagined the love and happiness that I would feel for the following 27 plus years.You were my "world" and I will be forever grateful for every moment that you were here with me. Well I haven't had any luck writing on here for some reason my phone wont let me but I'm finally at my grandmas ( she says she loves you) and decided to try again! I was trying to think back at the first memory we shared.... I think it was your first heart break! My sweet baby Brandon..28 years ago was the happiest day of my life.As I sit here without you I can't even begin to explain how sad and painful life is without you..I have spent all day reliving the day you were born..the long drive to the hospital, the Doctors telling me you were breech, your Dad being so intimidated to call your Dida..It all happened so quickly but it turned out perfect. You were 4 weeks early but ready to come out!! You were perfect from the beginning as you were for the next 27 years. I miss you so,so much. Mama loves you..

There are no words to describe the sadness inside me right now.  There are no actions to show you just how much I love you.  I am grateful for having the honor and pleasure of meeting you and sharing a part of your life.  Although I tell myself that, while you were here, I had expressed this to you.  Inside I wish that I had shared it with you more.  Everyday I wake up and think of you, of your charm and wit.  I think of where our lives would be if you were still here.  I think of where my life would be had we not met and fallen in love.  It seems as though every street corner holds a story we both shared.  That every date is a reminder of where we went together, or how we spent it.  Some memories are sad but most are happy, and even in the sweetness of the happy ones there is a sting of sadness. Oh Brandon, where do I begin?  It has been a few years since we've seen each other, but that changes nothing about our friendship.  I can remember being a kid and listening to music in your room with all the lights out except for the black light...and the cat faces we would draw with highlighter on all of our faces, it looked so cool in the blacklight!  I think I'll do that with my son, I bet he would think it was so neat.  And driving through Elsinore in my little black cow car, lol.  We would all have that thing packed so full of people!  Those Elsinore days as a kid were so much fun!  In fact, you always had a way of making everything fun, and I think everyone would agree with me on that.  Your wonderful smile and laugh that would just make anyone's day...your warm, compassionate personality...your teasing and jokes...it will all be missed.  I know you are at peace now though, so rest easy.  The rest of us will join you in time. I had a dream the other night that I saw you.  You didn't say a word, you just smiled.  we walked around for a while just saying nothing. Towards the end of my dream you gave me one of your big bear hugs and i told you I loved you and you said the same, it was the only time you spoke.  I will never forget that dream and how real it felt when we hugged.  I am so glad that I was able to see you the few days before you passed.  It was nice having you play with the girls and hold them.  You are missed so much more than you could have ever imagined.  
You and Jay were a part of every major move in our lives. You helped us when we were having Gia, you and Jay were the only ones we trusted to babysit her when she was only 2 months old.  you helped us move into our very first house and we all ate pizza sitting on the floor bc there was no furniture yet :)  you and jay helped Roger paint our whole house while I was in NY with Gia so it was done by the time I got back.  There is not a room in this house that doesn't remind me of you.  I am so thankful that even for a short time I had the honor of having you as a friend.  We love you Brandon

Everyday I think about you. I think about the time we used to run around the apartments on Cedar Street, playing. I remember when we used to spray each other with the water hose in the summer, ride bikes, roller skate, make tents in your bedroom, sing karaoke at my house, eat huge bowls of ice cream, crawl up and down the stairs terrorizing the ferrets, pretend we were swimming in the spa, have tea parties, listen to my Lion King CD over and over (which we even made masks and choreographed our own dance to), act out scenes from the movie Dirty Dancing on the living room floor...you were there for every defining moment in my life. We didn't even notice how the other was growing because we just grew together. You were there when I went to my first homecoming dance. I wish I could have taken you with me. You were there when my dad passed away. You were there when my mom bought a house in the suburbs, and I had to leave you behind. But, it wasn't long before you met me, and your family bought a house near mine. You were there when I got my license. I was so excited because it meant I could drive to your house anytime I wanted to. You were there when the movie Titanic came out, and we went to see it together...both of us crying our eyes out. We used to put your parents stereo on full blast and sing songs and dance to music most children had never heard of. You taught me to try new things. I have always loved you, more than I have ever loved myself. I don't know where I will be tomorrow. But, I do know that there is an empty place next to me and it will be that way until we meet again. You are my best friend, as infinite as the soul. As long as my senses allow, I will feel you. With tears in my eyes, I will breathe you for the rest of my mortal existence. And then, when my end comes, I will see you again my best friend. I have loved you for a million lifetimes and I will love you for a million more.
