Candelaria was born in Mexico, Pampanga in the Philippines on February 2, 1961 to Ireneo Ibe Punzalan and Rosario Macalino Punzalan. She had 14 years of education in the Philippines.
Candelaria, who goes by “Candy”, worked at Walmart as an overnight stocker for 9 years. She loved to watch her soap operas every night. She loved to cook and bake Filipino food. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
Candelaria is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Federico Raymundo Aguila; daughter, Jennifer Aguila Natividad; son-in-law, Benjamin John Natividad Jr.; son, Federico Punzalan Aguila Jr.; daughter-in-law, Michelle Lacanlale Aguila; granddaughter, Jordan Bentley Natividad; and the rest of her family and friends.
Candelaria is preceded in death by her parents Ireneo Ibe Punzalan and Rosario Macalino Punzalan; her brothers, Emilio Macalino Punzalan and Domingo Macalino Punzalan; her sister, Hilda Punzalan Laus; and her son, Justine Punzalan Aguila.
A Memorial service will be held later.
