So sorry to hear of the passing of Carlos.  We always remember that wonderful smile that would light the neighborhood and brighten our day, and that great sense of humor.  You are missed, friend.  Our prayers are with Nidia and the Navia family.

Our farewell to you Carlos and deepest condolence to your family. It has been a great honor and privilege to know you and your family.  It is said that that the things we scatter and not what we gather define the kind of life we have lived.  And that is so true with you Carlos. You have scattered among us humor, hospitality, generosity, assistance, friendship, love, camaraderie and then some.  We said goodbye to you with the following words to the tune of Taps: Day is done, gone the sun, from the lakes, from the hills, from the sky; all is well, safely rest, God is near.  But you are not forgotten. You will be dearly remembered in the stories we share, in the jokes we tell, in the songs we sing and in the toast we offer!

cities; sone not so civilized ones, some out of the path.

Cuya Carlos, Nancy and I cannot be with you on December 3rd. We are very sorry we cannot say goodbye. We have always loved you and will always pray for you.
There is Heaven we are sure of that. You will be there, because you had done an excellent job. You served your country well as a Marine officer, you were an excellent father who raised and educated your 3 beautiful children, you also had been an outstanding grandfather and a friend to all. Christian and Gia will surely miss you.
We will be around for sure to try to compensate for your absence.
Go on to your new journey,you will surely be more at peace, rested and will enjoy it. Heaven is waiting for you.

Natito (Carlos) was like a father to my sister (Connie) my brother (Mark) and myself. I remember, as a young child, when he came home to NY and lived with us for a while. My dad (Pepe) and my mom (Elsa) adored him.  Natito & my dad were good friends from Bolivia.  Natito was part of our family. He always made us laugh (especially when he made his ears move). He was a gentle man, a giving & warm spirit.  Always looking for the best in everyone  he was full of laughs and always had the best advise. We will miss you so much but you have entered the home of our Glorious Father which is where I know we will all meet again.  Thank you, Natito for being a part of my life. We love you!!

Nidia, Edith,Virna & Susan & the rest of the family- We pray that all the beautiful memories that you have of him will always comfort you.

Carlos was a good father,husband and to Didi's relatives. He was always funny and has a deep voice fit for singing but I never heard him sing. We will miss you but we will keep all the fun memories!

Cora and I are among the last one to believe the untimely passing of Carlos. We have travelled with Carlos and Didi twice, the first was the Transatlantic Cruise to Barcelona last April 4 to 20, 2011 and the second was our trip to the island paradise of Kawaii in Hawaii last April 11 to 18, 2012. We have a bagful of memories and it was in death that we, the living, have to cling to those memories that Carlos had left us. For all those good memories, we do not see the death of Carlos as the end of his life. We see instead his death as a celebration of a new life. Carlos has now moved to a new life in eternity where there is no more pain, tears and sufferings. Our friendship with Carlos, Didi and the Navia family is not an accident but part of God's plan in our life and we are so blessed to know them.To Didi, Edith, Virna, Susan, Cromwell, Bryan, Christian and Gia, Carlos is now in new world full of life, of love and of his God and he will intercede for all of us. Remember what Saint Dominic said on his deathbed, "Do not weep, for I shall be more useful to you after my death and I shall help you then more effectively than during my life." God bless everyone.

Rose and I send condolences and prayers to the entire Navia family.  Carlos and I were programmer trainees entering management at UPS in 1971.  A hero marine with a weird sense of humor and a dumb kid just out of the district.  He helped me grow up at UPS and was a great friend always.

How sad and shocking it is to hear of 
Carlos' passing.  Carlos was a good friend in UPS for many years and he invited me into his home in Atlanta on my trips to Florida after our retirements.  I met Nidia and his family and was gratified with their friendship and welcomed into their home.  Carlos was always so much fun and a pleasure to be around.  I think of him often although I haven't seen him since his move to Nevada.  My sympathy to Nidia and his entire family. I know his memory will be with you all forever.

Dear Carlos,

We are at a loss for words for they cannot fully describe the sadness we feel right now, not only because we will not see you again but also because we missed the chance to do it in the last recent years.

We want you, Nidia & your family to know that it was a privilege to know you & your family & to count us as friends. You are an amazingly good man, dedicated to your family, friends, & volunteerism. A sweet person, you rolled with the punches & exuded an unbelievable sense of humor in all situations. We have never seen anyone with a large beautiful and genuine smile that lights up any room such as yours. We will miss that smile, your jokes, your generosity, the get-togethers, & your caring attitude for all - we will miss you but we will always remember the beautiful memories we shared!

Your journey on Earth may have ended for a job well done but your life in Heaven is forever so it is with great comfort that we realize that you, your family, & friends will meet again & live in eternity.

kuya Carlos,Our lives had been pre-destined by God.When your family and our family meet in Thailand 1996 we were blessed a bright future for Cromwell and Edith.Only God has arranged this meeting,so that Edith and Cromwell can meet each other to marry and raise a beautiful family and bear two beautiful grandchildren Christian and Gia.We realized that you were wishing and praying that Edith meet a person she can marry and be happy with for the rest of her life,and God granted your wish including being gifted two beautiful grandchildren you prayed for and enjoyed while you we're around.  Your life was full and your passing away only means that you entered into another journey which we believe you will enjoy the fullest.  The only difference is we will not be with you and your family to share that with you like we always used to.The fun that you shared in every gathering will surely be missed.  Perhaps, having been a kindhearted loving person and a father who do not hesitate to extend love and help to everyone, our God Almighty welcomed you into his Kingdom as your reward. We will all miss you and you will be in our memories forever.
