Carmen Jimenez, 92, left this world peacefully on November 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Carmen was born on March 24, 1933. She is 7/11 children to Roque De La Torre and Maria {Rodriguez} De La Torre. She married Ignacio Mauricio Jimenez-Sousa on May 13, 1962.
She was a devoted Catholic woman whose faith, strength, and unwavering values guided her throughout her life. Born with a spirit full of resilience and hope, she was incredibly proud of her journey to America from Majagua, Cuba —an accomplishment she spoke of often and cherished deeply. Her life was a beautiful reflection of gratitude, humility, and purpose.
A woman of many talents, she was an exceptional cook whose meals brought the family together and created memories we will hold forever. She had a gift for sewing and she was also an avid reader, having completed more than 1,000 books on her Kindle—a testament to her curiosity and love of learning.
Family was the center of her world. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. She could talk on the phone for hours, sharing stories, laughter, and wisdom. Her stories—rich with life experience, faith, and humor—were among her greatest gifts to us.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strong moral values that will continue to guide us. She will be deeply missed by her children, Carlos and Ignacio Jimenez.: grandchildren, Carlie, Ricardo, Roy, Fabian, Alicia, Robert and Abigail; brother Roque; sisters Beba and Ester; and many nieces nephews and cousins.
There will be a Memorial mass beginning at 1:00 PM on December 15th, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive Las Vegas, NV 89128. Committal Services will at 3:00 PM at Palm Eastern Cemetery 7600 South Eastern Avenue Las Vegas, NV 89123.
And all who were blessed to know her.
May her soul rest in the eternal peace of God’s arms.
