My religion is not the prayer I say in church
or the song that I may sing,
But a little happiness to someone I may bring.
My religion is to see the greatness of God
in every flower, bird or tree,
And the mystery of the restless sea.
My religion is not to be prejudiced
of anyone because of race or creed.
And always be willing to do a good deed.
My religion is doing something for
someone each day,
Even though I will not receive any pay.
My religion is starting the day with
a friendly smile.
And having the love in my heart for a little child.
My religion is to live neighborly and work
with people of all kinds;
It gives one that inner peace of mind.
My religion is to serve God alone
in my own humble way.
And pray for his guidance through each day.
My religion is to believe at the end
of life's journey if I done my best
With all of my faults, God will take care of the rest.
