Cristina Badiola Velasquez

Cristina Badiola Velasquez, age 56, of Las Vegas, Nevada, lost her battle with Cancer on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at The Heights of Summerlin. She was born on December 23, 1956 in Manila, Philippines to the late Francisco Victoria Badiola Jr. and Adela Cenina Badiola.

Cristy - as she was fondly called by most of her friends - attended Far Eastern University in the Philippines where she majored in Psychology. After migrating to the U.S., She briefly worked for an insurance company and later became a bona fide and successful realtor licensed in both states of California and Nevada. These work experiences transpired prior to her joining Grandview Resorts of Las Vegas in 2008. She held the position of Sales Director at Grandview until her medical leave in November of 2012. During her tenure, she received numerous citations and awards for her exemplary job performance and achievements. Family and friends were Cristy's passion and delight. She spent most of her life in the San Francisco Bay Area where she made many lifelong friends. Cristy is survived by her two loving married daughters, Kimberly and Kelby and three grandsons, Isaiah, Brandon and Riley. She also left behind her mother, Adela, two brothers, Francisco III & Francisco V and four sisters, Vilma, Mariel, Carmen & Elaine as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.
